Celebrations

Our little guy has been doing SO much the past few weeks!  He can now clap, point, wave while he says, "haaaaaa" (meaning "hi"), put his finger to his lips and make an underwater noise, click his tongue, stand, crawl, climb stairs, and make car noises while playing.

I don't know for sure yet....but I think we have a little Mozart on our hands....

He's a natural.

Three weeks ago now Kippy was Baptized. I sure love a celebration so I went with a teal, yellow, and owl theme.  I used a newborn shot of his, had a cake and cupcakes made, made a banner, and decorated.

Rebecca came down for the weekend to help celebrate and it was so nice to see her with Kiptyn once again.  He loves her! Here they are cuddling the night before....he even drank a little bit from a bottle for her!!! (not since...ha ha ha)

 In church.

With Uncle Dean

He was such a good little guy and we had so much fun with him.  Everyone commented on how good he was and how cute his clapping was at the front of the church.

Afterwards we went back to the Grandparent's house for a luncheon with family and friends.  Although the theme was Owls, the lady who made the cake seemed to think I said, "monkey".  Oh well....it was cute cute cute anyway and nobody seemed to notice.

Although he skipped his naps that day, Kiptyn was alert and active all day long.  He loved playing in the exersaucer outside.

The weather was PERFECT.

It was so nice to see our friends and family out to the event.  Kiptyn is so very loved, and we are so thankful for our loved ones.

Little baby Emma even made an appearance!

As always, Kippy-boo was on the go!  He somehow suckered Grandma into walking him around.

 It was a beautiful day!

We also celebrated cousin Faith's 7th birthday.

She and her sister Ava got into some trouble with the chalk...lol.

Here is Kiptyn and Faith playing with the balloon.

 He could barely sit still!

 BEEP BEEP!

 Walking train!

He kept cool in the pool.

Lots of laughs.  This is a pure and true water baby.

Speaking of pools....Bug has found his way into a few...

With his buddies Riley and Max

Happy little Cuties!

We bought a small pool for our own yard so that we don't have to fill the big pool every time.  I still get in, because it is fun!

This little guy has SO many faces!

And he's off!

We have been spending a lot of time at the ducky pond these days as well.  I like to take Dave along with us when he gets home from work as the ducks and geese have some major attitude! They see us coming from afar and walk toward us as soon as they hear the wheels of Kippy's bike.

Home again, home again, jiggity jig!

I have taught 6 hours of dance in the past two days, Dave has been at the school doing report cards until late every night, and Kiptyn's molar is coming in, therefore he is not the greatest sleeper these days.  Needless to say, it has been a LONG week and I am one exhausted Mama!  I am going to have a warm bath, and then read in bed so I can do it all again tomorrow.

Be back soon with an update from our FUN FUN weekend we just had!

  2. Carla,
So after 'meeting' on Kelle's instagram I thought I would come check out your blog- and well too funny because there are John and Judy and even Rev. Phil right in this post. I was in St. John's Nfld this week or else would have been at the service. Kiptyn is so precious- I just love this stage. Lots of exploring, smiles, and activity. Great post
