It's Fall!

Fall means football season.  Kiptyn was sporting a rather spirited Miami Dolphins outfit last Monday when they played but ended up falling asleep in Daddy's arms while watching the game.  At least he was there in spirit!

We enjoyed the last little bit of summer the past week or so.  Kiptyn has become a little picky when it comes to hats.  This particular day he was not digging the preppy look.

We also had a beautiful sunny Sunday last weekend and had dinner with the family.  Kiptyn LOVES his cousins Faith and Ava (aren't they the cutest?).

Here he is with Auntie Jen

The gang!

My baby and Me

Kiptyn loves being on his play mat and watching things dangle above his head while making the cutest cooing noises. He just started trying to swat at them with his hands in the past day or so.  Little man is also starting to enjoy his tummy more and more.

Enjoying Daddy's chair

One day Bug stayed in his pj's almost all day long.  We had fun hiding him in his crib with all of his friends.  He's so CUTE!

We are looking forward to apple picking, visits with family, Thanksgiving meals, spiced candles, and festive decor going up in the house soon.  Summer has gone so we must embrace the new season!

Love when he does this with his hands!  And that darn "suckie" won't stay in!

I will be updating again very soon....I took a little longer than my usual once week update this time.  Lots more pictures to come that I just have to get onto the computer!  Thanks for reading everyone!

Fall is in the Air!

Wow!  Did the weather ever change fast!

Last weekend we were at a pool party and this week it has really cooled off.  The farmers have some pumpkins for sale, everyone has dug out their sweaters, and those darn Mums are being sold at the front of every store.  I am not quite ready for fall to come yet.  I never really am.  This summer I was uber (is that even a word?) pregnant in July, and August was spent caring for Little Man.  I feel like it passed by so quickly.  I am hoping summer makes a brief return if only for a few days so that we can get out there once again and feel the warm sweet air while taking it all in before it goes away for good.

Here is the Little Bug enjoying the warm weather and the outdoors!

Kiptyn has found his favourite new spot.  Up on the shoulder.  Anyone's shoulder, he is not picky (although he really likes Daddy's).  He loves to look around and see everything from up there and the best part is when you feel his head turn and lay itself down as he falls into a deep sleep.  Baby cuddles....the best thing ever.

I love how much other people love our baby.  Of course the Grandparents are over the moon and it makes me so happy that Dave and I both come from such loving families.  Our friends also love him.  I get texts and phone calls from people checking up on him and when we go out there is always a few sets of open arms ready to sneak a cuddle or two.

Kiptyn has also been practising his dancing.  We often have dance parties in the middle of the night (his favourites are the Rockabye Baby collection- Madonna in particular- you have to check it out!  All Rock songs turned into sweet lullabies).

Here he is trying out some cool moves at a friend's house just after feeding...Go Kiptyn Go!

Boogie on down!

Disco!

Our little Bug  is also very unpredictable.  One day he is awake and alert and taking everything in, the next he sleeps through everything.  I guess that is the life of a baby!

Here he is looking at the birdies above his vibrating chair.

Last weekend we went to our annual family corn roast and celebrated our Aunt and Uncle's 40th Anniversary.  It was so nice to introduce Kiptyn to the rest of the family.  Big families are the best.  There is always so much to catch up on.  Kiptyn also met his new little cousin Layton.  They are going to be the best of friends!

"Hi!  My name is Kiptyn, will you be my friend?"

Dave has gone back to work this week.  It feels strange to be by myself all day with Kiptyn.  It also feels very strange not having to work.  I drive by the school and watch kids going in and out knowing that I don't have to...I think I could get used to this. Daddy misses his Little Man.  At night they often have some extra cuddles these days.  On the first day of school Kiptyn wore his "Smart Like Dad" outfit and we sang our ABC's.

Here is Kiptyn enjoying a book with Daddy after his bath.  Notice the book Dave is reading...don't be alarmed, this one will be stored away for the next 20 years as soon as he is able to fully understand it.  Lol.

A Family Photo!

Kiptyn LOVES his soother, sometimes when it falls out he sucks so hard that he can get it to pop back in without our help!

MILK COMA!
That's all for now!  We will be back again soon!

One Month

Mr. Kiptyn is now a month old!  How did the time go SO FAST!?!?

He is growing and growing and eating and eating.  Lol.  He still doesn't go anymore than 3 hours TOPS without eating and doesn't sleep longer than 3 hours TOPS at a time, but when he wakes up or cries out for food and you see this face....

how can you possibly get frustrated?  (Love him SO much)

We took little Man to visit his Great-Grandma Ola this week.  He was a little bit of a cranky pants as we had just been to the doctor and we woke him up to be poked and handled and he just wanted to sleep.  She was knitting a blanket for him when we arrived and although we didn't stay too long, Ola got to see him and give him a snuggle.

Getting ready for our outing!

My little man.

When my mom is on her way to work she will sometimes text to see if we are up and then stop in for a visit.  Kiptyn and I are always up for early morning visitors while we wait for Daddy to get up.  Here we are waiting outside in our jammies and blankets for Grandma!

Kiptyn and Grandma having a conversation.

Bug also likes to relax on the "Big bed" sometimes.

He still hasn't really taken to his little bassinet.  He will only go in there if we trick him into falling asleep first and then we carefully do the arm to bed transfer.  He thinks our bed is much more fun to relax on during the day, and at night he would rather be held while falling asleep.

This week he had a bit of a 24 hour crabby time.  He was awake all day and all night with almost NO sleep at all.  Of course that meant no sleep for the parents too.  Lol.  Here is his outfit for that day...Mr. Crabby pants!

We also decided to buy a new car this week!  Since a little person needs SO MUCH STUFF when travelling, we decided to get an SUV so that we would have the space to go somewhere if and when we get a chance to go away for a weekend.  Here is the new black Ford Edge!  We will pick it up sometime this week and we are very excited!  It has all the bells and whistles and I think I am going to have to take a course on how to work the Mytouch system.  I have also never had a car with leather interior!  Yippy!

And PS- This is mommy's car....Daddy gets my Mazda 3...how did I manage that?
A milestone for this week?  He loves to point his finger.  We have noticed it quite a few times and it makes me laugh.  This time it actually landed in his mouth.

Who knew someone so small could create so much love?
