The BUG is back!

This little Bug finally fits into his "Bug" outfit.  I bought this while pregnant because that is what I called him for 9 months and I couldn't resist!

What have we been up to?  Well, we took little Kippy-boo swimming for the first time! He got a new swim diaper and so we tried it out in the bath before we went...Kiptyn was quite excited!

All ready for the pool!

He LOVED it.  He was in for 40 minutes and enjoyed floating and kicking while Daddy took some pictures.

Please excuse "Movember".....

Cuddlebug

Kiptyn also went to church for the first time this month. He was so cute in his knitted outfit from his Great Grandma Ola.

We have been getting together with some friends these days...here is Kiptyn and his girl Zarhia.

Cole also came for another visit! They have really grown since last month!

The exersaucer has been a HIT these days.  We finally have a spot to put him while we eat and he loves all the toys and sounds.  It felt so strange the first time we put him in there. My little baby is big enough to go in THERE now?

Of course my favourite pictures are of my little Man sleeping.  Is there anything more innocent than a baby sleeping?

He is still very much in love with his "Tuggy"...the puppy soother.  Dave named him Tuggy when we bought him as it seems the puppy is playing tug-of-war with Kiptyn all the time.  We actually went out and bought a second "Tuggy", exactly the same.  Heaven forbid anything should happen to the original Tuggy....

He also loves his fingers...

We had a hard time with teething already (no teeth coming in yet but he seems to be quite bothered by his gums).  I bought a baltic amber bracelet (apparently they are supposed to help take away the pain and the drooling associated with teething) for the little guy a few weeks ago.  I thought it was a little silly but I had been told by so many people that they do indeed work.  Kiptyn has been wearing it every day since and by golly I think it is actually working!  It may just be a coincidence, but I will take it!

It may be a little girly, but for now it is usually tucked underneath his long sleeves when we venture out into the world.  I did however put him in babylegs (baby legwarmers) and his bracelet one day.  His Daddy wasn't super impressed with the look.  I think he looks adorable!

Peek-a-boo!

We have been getting a lot of smiles these days and some belly laughs too!  Goodness I love this kid!

That's all for now.  I have more pictures that are uploaded onto the computer and a disk of holiday photos that are ready to be picked up at the photographer's studio so there will be more to come later this week! (If I am lucky I might even get to it this weekend!)   Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather we are still getting!  Santa Claus parade tomorrow!  Hooray!

A little behind...

I have been a little behind in my Blogging the past while.  I will catch up.  I promise.

The past two weeks or so have been very hectic.  My grand-moo (Grandmother Bride) became sick very fast.  She passed away one day shy of a week ago now.  Her funeral was Friday and I have to say, what a tribute. My Dad gave a wonderful speech in her honour on behalf of the adults and also read a heartwarming story my Aunt Geri wrote about her mother.  She went into detail about how all of the best traits her mother had have been spread out and left behind within each of her 6 other siblings.  My cousin Tanis spoke on behalf of the Grandchildren and read a speech written by my cousin Kim who asked each of us to give her some memories of our Grandmother as a starting off point.  Kim wrote a very beautiful speech and Tanis showed great strength reading it.  The pink roses that surrounded my grandmother that day were perfect and I know she is at peace.

We are all going to miss her so much.  She was the glue that held us all together and because of her strength and traditions we will always be a close family and her memory will love on forever.

Only a few weeks ago we were sitting at our table for Thanksgiving dinner. There were about 15 of us in total and after we said grace we started to "chow down".  Ten minutes into dinner someone asked my grandma, "Bride, how is dinner tasting?", to which she bowed her head and started the second round of grace.  Trying to fight back the laughter we all looked at each other with wide eyes and bowed our heads one more time and then joined her in yet another big "AMEN"!  I love love love that we have that memory and it is just one of the millions of many stories we have to share.

Anyway, I will be back to do a MAJOR update very soon.  I am currently editing pictures and if my little man allows me the time I will have some new posts in the next couple of days.

Halloween!

What a crazy week!!!!

We started the Halloween festivities this week with Kiptyn's first Halloween party.  One of the girls from my online baby group hosted here in London and we ended up with about 15 babies plus all of their siblings and Mommies.  It was SO CUTE to see them all dressed up.

Kiptyn has a little crush on Lily...

How cute is SHE

We had quite a few Halloween outfits and therefore we had to dress Kiptyn up for a whole week to be sure he wore them all....one outfit (not featured here) he wore TWICE and we didn't get photos before he had a little "accident"...darn Huggies!

One night our parents came over and baby Bug had his Halloween pj's on.

Watching football with Daddy

We hosted a small get-together with some friends the weekend before Halloween.  Of course since we now have a "family" and not just the two of us....we HAD to do the family costume! And I am so proud of myself sewing/putting together these costumes!  It is impossible to find a baby Yoda costume in London small enough for our little man....so I decided to get out the sewing machine!  Not too shabby in the end...

My two men!

 Yoda Smiles!

Yoda feet!

The night before Halloween we carved pumpkins and I tried my best to figure out the proper camera settings to take a good picture.  After a lot of trial and error (and a few tears...bad mom!), I finally got some cute ones!

Here come the tears! I'm sorry, but as sad this is....how CUTE is HE?

Nothing that a little "Tuggy" can't fix!

Here are a couple pictures of Kiptyn when I first put him in the pumpkin.  He wasn't quite sure of the whole thing....

Don't you just want to pick him up and KISS him?

On Halloween night I tried a couple of shots in his pumpkin costume before he passed out for the whole night!
Look at this face....lol.

Our Jack-O-Laterns! (Okay so Mr. Kippy-boo isn't the biggest fan of Halloween....)

And cuddles with Mommy

Squishy face!
And this was Kiptyn at about 7pm.....

All in all it was a very fun and busy week.  Hope you had a great Halloween as well, thanks for reading!
