ONE!- Maisy's Pink Mustache Party

I knew I wanted a "Movember" themed birthday party when I first got pregnant and knew the due date was in November...I didn't know she would be a girl until 20 weeks and by that point, it was too late.  If you know me at all....you know I plan my birthday parties months and months in advance.  So I stuck with the plan and made it a Pink Mustache Bash!

We had her cake smash almost two months before her party to be sure we could use the images for the invites.
I just love how our photographer and friend Amy (Amy Luciani) captured her...just a few...

Since I knew the theme at the newborn shoot...our amazing photographer Cynthia (One-12 Photography) put a sticker on our babe and prepped her for her birthday theme...one year early.

A dear friend Char from out West sent Maisy this gorgeous pink dress when she was born so I saved it and sewed on a few mustaches to make it the ultimate party dress

The party was postponed a week since Kiptyn caught an awful tummy bug from daycare (40 out of 60 kids had it by the time I found out and pulled him out....but it was too late).  After disinfecting our house and thanking our lucky stars nobody else caught it we were back on track! Maisy graciously helped me with the DIY projects.

I have to say....a PINK mustache bash is even better than a regular mustache bash!

 "Crustaches" were a MUST!

Mustache food picks....perfect

Cupcakes AND cake...because why pick one?

And LOOT bags for the little Men and the little Misses

My sweet boy

The Birthday Girl
(yes....walking!)

And some of the party guests

Maisy thought it was a hoot!

Cake Time!

Wasn't me

On her actual birthday we went out for dinner and opened gifts at home

I wondered how Kippy would take it with all of the attention on her and the gifts...I should have known....he is just such a proud big brother.

Happy FIRST Birthday to our Beautiful GIRL!

Fall 2014

The Fall started off with some HEAT!  We were able to enjoy our pool for longer than expected and even wore our summer gear to the Fall Fair. It was wonderful being able to soak up a little more summer since we only really get to enjoy it for two months of the year.

The pool parties continued...

Lots of friends and lots of fun!

Silly girl at playgroup

Kiptyn LOVES Maisy's ballerina doll.....like LOVES her

Caught in a LOVE trap!

One of my favourite things about living in our small town is the Fall Fair.  It seems every year we live here we know more and more faces when we go and it is always a good time.  Rides, lights, good old fashioned "Carnies", fatty and delicious fair food, and lots of Farm Life/Agriculture.

It just wouldn't be Fall without a trip to Appleland Station for some apple picking

The BIG sand hill is always a BIG hit!

 Face painting fun!

Pumpkin Patch with my wee Pumpkin

And you absolutely cannot leave without riding the train (and taking home one of their famous Apple Crisps!)

All tuckered out!

We spent two days of Thanksgiving weekend at Storybook Gardens (something we have done each year) and although we needed sweaters, the weather was gorgeous once again

It was our first Thanksgiving with our little Birdie and we were just so Thankful

We had LOTS of time to play outside and go to different playgrounds since the weather stayed nice for so long, and this little one really started pulling herself up on everything and wanting to be BIG

First time on a bouncy castle for Mai Mai!

We enjoyed many days playing outside on the driveway and going for walks around the neighbourhood

This boy is happiest in the rain

We went to the small Farm by our old house to pick some pumpkins.  This place is so so cute and I just love that they keep it the same each year. We ended up going twice in one week because it is just that good.

I LOVE this photo with the light and my tiny girl who is growing up much too fast

And THIS little Bug....Mr Independent

And of course our annual family photo

There is another Berry Farm just out of town that we have been to each year and love.
There is always so much to do there and we just never get enough time to do it all.

These pouty lips though!

Always finds the puddles

So so beautiful

 Conquering his fear

Pumpkin Butt

Of course we HAD to do the 'baby in the pumpkin' pic again

We went back to Storybook Gardens a few days before Halloween for their Trick or Treat party event.
It was the first time we had ever been and it was awesome!

We hung a bunch of things on Kiptyn's wall just in time to wreck it by adding bunk beds a few months later....opsy!

It seems as though I have more photos of Maisy than I do of Kiptyn.....and that is the truth.
She can't run away yet!

The question is....how fast can she DRIVE?

 Getting silly in the bath

Slow down Miss 10 month old.....I'm not ready for a walker quite yet!

Halloween activities all day every day!

On Halloween Night it rained Cats and Dogs
(ha ha ha....couldn't help myself)

This one made it to more than three houses and wouldn't stop talking about meeting Olaf!

And now for the BIG news....
We were also thrilled to find out that our family is growing come next Spring/Summer!

Until next time!
