Update coming!

Hello all!

I am very busy this week with my Dance Show and therefore I will not be able to update for a few days.  As soon as it is over I will post new pics of the second 3D ultrasound and some of the other things going on.

A Place To Dream

So Dave and John finished painting the nursery this week.  It is ADORABLE.  We started with a tan/neutral colour and went all out Baby Boy!

Taped up and ready to go! 

First coat- It is actually really pale light blue...hard to tell

Final touches!  Another shade of pale blue added...it is actually not quite this bold in real life.

 

 

Here is the fabric I ordered online for the bedding.  It FINALLY arrived and now I am a little nervous to start!  Lets see how it goes- I just LOVE the pattern on it.  Classic old fashioned Toile.

The belly is growing!!!  Sorry for the more intimate shot...just like a bathing suit right?

I now have the PERFECT spot to rest a big bowl of watermelon (My newest favourite food)

Here are a few of the baby blankets I have been making to practice for the bedding...(please don't judge!  I am NEW to sewing.  I JUST bought the machine and still have to read the manual each time I run out of thread.  Ha ha ha.....

 

This next one was such a pain in the butt.  I am glad it is done...Lol.  Don't look too close!

 This one was my first Rag Quilt.  It has liner inside of it and the back is that same purple colour as the one dinosaur.  This one will just keep getting cuter each time I wash it with the ragged edges.  :)

This one is a gift for Dave's volleyball friend who just had a little boy...it is my new specialty.  I have made three in the past two months...so easy!  No sewing involved!

Here is Dave's newest project!  He is building gardens in the backyard.  Still a LONG way to go still but it's a start! 

 That's all for now!  Due to a very tragic event our 3D Ultrasound this weekend was moved to Wednesday.  Therefore expect another update by next weekend!  I haven't really decided how to let people know about updates....I think I will just update at least once a week and hopefully people will continue checking.  Let me know if you have a better idea.  I just don't want to keep bothering people with messages saying that I have updated.

3D Ultrasound

Good Morning!

Goodness is it ever early.  I wonder if I will EVER learn to sleep in?

We headed to Cambridge on Wednesday for our 3D ultrasound with our parents (minus my Dad who is in Florida with my brother Ben for his Liberation treatment for Multiple Sclerosis- it went REALLY well!). 

If you get a chance to try the 3D ultrasound...you have to go for it....it was an amazing experience!

Unfortunately my little angel Bug decided to stay asleep for the full hour!  He didn't want to move his hands or turn his face toward the camera at all.  We tried chocolate, pop, walking, moving around, and poking the poor little guy but he stayed asleep aside from a few little kicks.  We ended up getting two pictures from the whole thing and a pass to come back next weekend to try again.

I must say, he sure is flexible!  He had his feet right up to his head most of the time.  SO close in fact that he could have been sucking on his toes!

They also recorded his heartbeat and sent us home with a heartbeat bear (like a Build-A-Bear) where they put a sound recording inside of a bear so that when we squeeze the bear we can always hear his heartbeat.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back again to see a little more of a sneak peek.

We are now in the process of painting the nursery (well Dave is doing that part) and purchasing furniture.  Hopefully the paint will be finished this week and I will post the progress of the room!

Adventures of BABY!

I have decided to keep this Blog open to public so that my family and friends that I don't see very often can take a peek at our little baby Bug!  I will update every few days or so and of course once he finally gets here I am sure that I will have the photos rolling in!

Here is a quick update of some of the trips we have been on in the past few months and some of the things we have been doing in the past little while with our Bug!

New Years Eve- The first time we were "out" about the baby!

Finding out if we were going to celebrate Blue or Pink!  We had the parents over for cake...

 I love this picture....so much fun!  How cute is my Dad's face here...

BLUE!  Later that night we phoned our other parents in Florida to tell them about our Prince!

For March Break we took our "Babymoon" to Florida.  This one is in Naples...

 Of course we (or should I say "Judy/Mom and I" did a lot of shopping!)

St. Patty's Day!  Non-alcoholic of course....at least for one of us.

Easter weekend it was off to NYC!

We are SO excited about him!  Today is off to the 3D Ultrasound so more updates to come VERY soon!
