February already!

The month of LOVE.

Here I sit at my desk listening to pretty music. I watch adorable 14 year olds full of joy dance around and hug each other every two minutes. I watch and sip on my vanilla biscotti flavoured coffee and I smile. How lucky am I to be able to do this every day and get paid? Next semester will bring its own challenges and differences with teaching English but in the end it is all the same. I get to hang out with inspiring young people who teach me far more than I ever teach them every single day.

And look how unique my students are...seriously, while they were dancing I collected their boots....these were just that certain shade of brown version...they all had the same ones.

Things have been keeping us very busy as usual.  The cold and rain can go away any time it wishes.  I am a summer girl at heart and I know that seeing the sunshine would do me good.  This little face however, brings a lot of sunshine!

This baby Bug is now 18 months old.  How did I get here?  How did he grow so fast?  A year and a half!!?!?!  Can't be!

Here are some of his 18 month rules:
He loves anything with cars, and books.  This month was wear your favourite slippers to day care day.  He not only wore the slippers...he wore the garage suit!

He loves his ride-on Lightning McQueen

He cannot be fooled into eating anything that he doesn't know and love already (we are working on this one)

Before:

After!

Anything that he cannot pronounce will from now on be called "Gee"

He loves the outdoors and if nobody will take him there he will just stand and look at the nearest window or door until you do.

He LOVES the Bubble Guppies, Curious George, and still Sid the Science Kid.  I have never seen him sit still as long as when the television is on!

In the past month or so Kiptyn went to the eye doctor...

...out for sushi a billion times...lol...

(This new sushi place around the corner is soooo good!  And you order from an iPad!)

...to Chapters a few times...

...to have a bath in Grandma & Grandpa's BIG tub...

...to visit friends...

...to visit Daddy at work...

...to visit toy stores...

...he went to see Disney on Ice...

...we have been trying out soft play places...

...and he hands out kisses to everyone these days...even himself.

We have been trying to grow his hair a bit longer to see what it looks like (inspired by some adorable twin boys I know on Instagram)...and Little Man takes combing his hair very seriously.

Overall, he is a pretty clean guy.

Kiptyn has certainly been getting into the sneaky toddler phase these days.  He is standing up on chairs and climbing on things he shouldn't.

He is usually a very good listener.  And on the odd occasion when he is really determined, he breaks out his specialty...the classic square mouth.

Even though the Bug is growing, there are still times I look at him and see a little baby.

Little fingers,

Little toes,

But a BIG personality!
This photo was edited by Dave.  Kiptyn was to bring in a photo of his pet to daycare.  It was either this or go out and buy a puppy...this seemed like the better answer.

Speaking of daycare, this Little Man adores being with his friends and learning all sorts of new things.  Yesterday they had a singer come in with her guitar to perform for their class, two weeks ago they had a ventriloquist come in to perform with her puppets, and the drum lady came before that.

He likes to bring home music circle too!

This week we had our very first swimming lesson!  So much fun!  He went under the water at least six times and he loved watching Mama blow bubbles.  He tried it himself as well.

Swimming lessons run after Kippy's bed time.  We bring his pajamas and this night he had his bedtime milk in the grocery cart since we had to pick up a few last minute items.

He is loved more than any baby I know!
 Until next time!
