A little behind...

I have been a little behind in my Blogging the past while.  I will catch up.  I promise.

The past two weeks or so have been very hectic.  My grand-moo (Grandmother Bride) became sick very fast.  She passed away one day shy of a week ago now.  Her funeral was Friday and I have to say, what a tribute. My Dad gave a wonderful speech in her honour on behalf of the adults and also read a heartwarming story my Aunt Geri wrote about her mother.  She went into detail about how all of the best traits her mother had have been spread out and left behind within each of her 6 other siblings.  My cousin Tanis spoke on behalf of the Grandchildren and read a speech written by my cousin Kim who asked each of us to give her some memories of our Grandmother as a starting off point.  Kim wrote a very beautiful speech and Tanis showed great strength reading it.  The pink roses that surrounded my grandmother that day were perfect and I know she is at peace.

We are all going to miss her so much.  She was the glue that held us all together and because of her strength and traditions we will always be a close family and her memory will love on forever.

Only a few weeks ago we were sitting at our table for Thanksgiving dinner. There were about 15 of us in total and after we said grace we started to "chow down".  Ten minutes into dinner someone asked my grandma, "Bride, how is dinner tasting?", to which she bowed her head and started the second round of grace.  Trying to fight back the laughter we all looked at each other with wide eyes and bowed our heads one more time and then joined her in yet another big "AMEN"!  I love love love that we have that memory and it is just one of the millions of many stories we have to share.

Anyway, I will be back to do a MAJOR update very soon.  I am currently editing pictures and if my little man allows me the time I will have some new posts in the next couple of days.
